How can therapy help me?
Therapy provides a safe space to work on any issues you’d like. In therapy, we work together to identify and prioritize what changes you may need to make in order to improve your quality of life and we will set goals to guide our work and make sure that we are on track. In therapy, the more you put into the process, the more you will get out of it!
What issues do you treat, and how do you treat them?
Our treatment approach is strengths-based and integrative in nature. Our practice includes clinicians who specialize in individual, family, and group therapy. Some of our areas of focus include trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family conflict issues. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to develop a unique treatment plan that meets your needs.
What will the first session be like?
During your first appointment, you and your therapist will discuss your current issues and what prompted you to seek therapy. Your therapist will ask questions about your life and how they can be helpful to you. Together, you will come up with a plan to address what you want to work on.
How often should I attend therapy?
This depends entirely on you and what you think feels right. Most clients are seen once a week in the beginning and then, as time goes on, less frequently. We will work together to determine your needs.
Do you prescribe medication?
We do not prescribe medication. However, we do regularly work with clients to determine whether medication may be beneficial. If you decide that you want to seek medication assistance, we are happy to offer a referral to a psychiatrist or primary care physician.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, we are able to accept United Healthcare Community Plan (AHCCCS). We also accept self-pay clients.
How do I make an appointment?
You may reach us by phone at 520-528-6534 or email at risingmoonts@gmail.com. We will do our best to respond to appointment requests the same day.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Sometimes canceling or rescheduling an appointment is necessary, and we are happy to work with you to reschedule our appointment to best fit your needs. Please note that due to a limited number of sessions available per week, cancellations must be made no less than 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made outside of this time frame may incur an out-of-pocket fee of the full session price.
